This graphic work was inspired by a dream during the current global pandemic. I was visited by the lion of Saint Mark, an iconic representation of my Venetian roots. The lion appeared in many forms and colours, coming to meet the ox of Oxford and the stag of Hertford College by Hertford Bridge. Hertford Bridge, often called "the Bridge of Sighs", is a skyway joining two parts of Hertford College over New College Lane in Oxford. It was designed by Sir Thomas Jackson and completed in 1914.
